I rode the Central Arkansas Transit today from the Wal-Mart in West Little Rock to my office building downtown. It was a 50 minute ride. It cost me $1.25. Because of the bus, I am not spending money on gas, parking, or maintenance on my vehicle. I also met some new friends, such as a teacher at UAMS, a blind lady and her dog, and a cook at Corky's. Jealous? The goal is to not use my car for an entire week.

i love it... and applaud you! if it were an option for me, i'd definitely consider it... but there are no routes that would be convenient at all... and i have no desire to be travelling by bus for 2 hours each morning when it's only a 5-mile drive to work... maybe i should start riding a bike.
